Renaming or removing /share/terminfo.cdb seems to fix the issue, so terminfo.cdb may be missing the necessary terminal data. I was able to confirm the issue with TERM=linux, so chances are, "\e[2J" simply needs to be added, but I'd be lying if I said I understood the file format.

Side note: If anybody in the future is reading this, the only reason why I know what's going on is because we did this in person. Let Jacob be the example of what not to do when opening an issue.
