To prevent malicious processes from gatekeeping files in /tmp, would it make sense to lock /tmp down? Granted, users will need access to /tmp as well, so maybe having a user folder under /tmp would do the trick? I'm not sure of the best way to go about this, but it seems to be better than having a /run and /tmp split and matches what I'm doing with /etc and /home.
